Come join the fun as the racecars roar down the track for this annual pack event. The Pinewood Derby gives Scouts a great opportunity to show off their creativity, design, building and decorating skills to complete this project and compete in this race of gravity powered model racecars.

The Pinewood Derby Kit comes complete with all the parts needed to build the racecar. These kits are designed for ease of assembly. Add a custom paint job, decals, sticker or whatever you want and you’re off to the races!

Each participant will receive a patch for their efforts. More importantly the Scouts will have pride in accomplishing another project where they Did Their Best!

We will also have an adult competition to allow those parents who wish to make their own creation and battle for the Pack bragging rights for the next year. Adult participants are to pay $5.00 for each Pinewood Derby Kit. The “profits” will go to support the awards for the Scout’s event. The winning adults will get a trophies too!

This year the top winner in each rank will have the opportunity to race in the Blue Jacket District Pinewood Derby against scouts from all over the the area on a date in March TBD.

Pinewood Derby Kits will be distributed in January to give each Scout plenty of time to build their car. Be sure to see the Official Rules

All cars must be pre-registered and inspected on Thursday, March 4^th at Trinity United Methodist Church. Inspection runs from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

• Tiger Champion
• Wolf Champion
• Bear Champion
• Webelos Champion
• Best of Show (for best looking entry)
• Most Creative Award (for most unique design)
• Lone Wolf Award (for best personal effort)

Adult Competition:

• 1st Place Best of Show (for best looking entry)
• Most Creative Award (for most unique design)
